St. Joseph College (Technical), Ozoro, was first established in 1955 and Delta State Government took the school over for a long period of time. It was at a meeting held by the Ministry of Education, Delta State, and State Executive Councils on 8th April, 2010, that the decision of the Exco to return schools to missions or former owners was reached. A total of forty out of the fifty-two public secondary schools requested for by the missions/former owners were approved and St. Joseph College, Ozoro, was one of such schools released and the new Academic Session started from 2017/2018 till date, with an added aspect of Technical and Vocational studies. The school is known for its good moral standards and academic excellence together with its technical and vocational aspects of studies.
